About the program

The MSMEs COVID – 19 Recovery and Resiliency Program is a two-year initiative aimed at supporting and building the resilience of 10,000 micro, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) in Ghana. The focus is on MSMEs in peri-urban areas; specifically businesses owned by youth and women.

Our Approach

Training

Provision of Digital Skills training to MSMEs

Advise, counsel, mentor and train MSMEs to assist in their recovery and resiliency during and after the COVID-19 shock.

Provision of access to toolkit for upskilling of MSMEs

Utilize digital platforms to increase access to quality professional services, information, toolkits and peer-to-peer learning for MSMEs.

Provision of business development support

Introduce and expand tailored business development support services to women-led MSMEs

Global Mamas is a Fair Trade and non-profit organization that has nineteen years of experience working with women-owned MSME’s to improve their access to market, capacities, and capabilities. Global Mamas will provide training to Women Owned Businesses (WOBs) and individuals in the garment and apparel industry. Training such as gender equity, ethical production, smart incentives, quality control, goal setting and self-care, are designed to provide the skills required by WOBs to remain resilient through economic crisis.

MDF West Africa is a management consultancy and training firm operating in the West African region since 2009. We empower others to create impact and have been working in Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem since 2014; working with investors, business advisors and entrepreneurs. We run several entrepreneurship and ecosystem support programmes across Africa, such as the #innov8GH incubation and the Orange Corners Ghana Acceleration Program. Our services range from ideation to investment; all aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with the right skills to develop and grow their businesses.
